Editorial Methodology
At Magpie Diagnostics, we are committed to producing accurate, helpful, and well-researched content. This page explains our editorial process and standards.
Medical Review & Clinical Standards
Magpie Diagnostics publishes Your-Money-or-Your-Life health content, and we hold it to a higher bar than our general process:
- Physician review before publication. All clinical content is developed under the medical oversight of Joseph Anderson, MD, who reviews and approves it for clinical accuracy and currency before it goes live. Nothing publishes automatically.
- Primary literature only. Clinical claims are sourced to peer-reviewed studies, regulatory approvals, and authoritative classification references. We do not reproduce or paraphrase proprietary guideline-vendor recommendation language.
- Eligibility, not advice. Where we describe how a biomarker or finding relates to treatment, we frame it as eligibility for a drug class — never as a recommendation for any individual. This site is educational and is not a substitute for professional medical advice.
- We flag what's moving. Diagnostics and biomarker-guided treatment change quickly. We re-verify time-sensitive claims (therapy linkages, classification updates) against current sources and explicitly flag contested or evolving areas.
- Honest uncertainty. We state what the evidence does and does not establish, and we distinguish validated practice from investigational findings.
